Thriller Genre Conventions

This is a mind map to show the different key conventions that are in the Thriller Genre. I looked into the technical features, props, costumes, narrative, characters, settings and theme to provide an in depth analysis of what I personally believe is a key convention to make a Thriller movie.

In conclusion I have found the most important features that are consisted in a typical thriller genre film. In my own production I will need to have key concepts; whilst also making sure that i use my own concepets and ideas of what I feel needs to be in a thriller. By having that my thriller opening will both suprise and have parts that the audeince will expect to see. This will entice the audience and draw them in to what is happening.

I feel that in some cases it is a good idea to follow the conventions that have been set in stone. However for a film to do well i feel liek that film needs to branch off and have its own conventions whilst also challenging some of those which are set in stone. This gives a new film a higher anticipation die to the fact that they are experiementing and challenging the old and bringing ina  new. As an audience member they would feel enlightened to the fact that the film they are wanting is going to be like something that they have never seen before.
